In 1966 Kobe Steel, Ltd. established a German representative office in Dusseldorf to support the group's business activities in the European region. Later in the 2000s, as the activities of in Europe increased, mainly in Machinery Business, another German representative office was established in Munich in 2010 as a base for Machinery Business division. In 2012 the Munich office was incorporated in Germany as KOBELCO MACHINERY EUROPE GmbH. KOBELCO MACHINERY EUROPE GmbH has been reorganized and renamed KOBELCO EUROPE GmbH in 2019 to strengthen business support and risk management for KOBELCO group companies in the Europe and the Middle East region and to absorb the operations of the Dusseldorf office. |
